And there are several other studies that show similar kind of stats. So it means that there is something really fishy going out there when it comes to setting up and managing a new online business.

The reasons for failure of newly built online businesses are numerous. Every single individual and business entity has its own reasons for failure provided they know them.

Incompetence

46% of the new online businesses fail due to incompetence. Incompetence refers to not doing the job or assigned tasks rightly.

So if you don’t know how to do it, you might end up doing it the wrong way.

To be competent to perform a task, you must have 3 things:
